Russian Circles BIO
Chicago instrumental rock trio Russian Circles are known for building expansive, heavy compositions without relying on vocals. Their sound moves between atmospheric passages and forceful riffs, placing them at home alongside progressive, post-metal, and hard rock acts. The band's appearance on the 2017 bill with Mastodon and Eagles of Death Metal offered a contrast in styles while keeping the focus on ambitious, guitar-driven live music.
The supplied event record lists Russian Circles at Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on May 13, 2017. It identifies the show as a shared bill rather than a solo date; the record does not establish other past appearances by the band at this venue or provide a tour name, setlist, or specific album details. Chicago's deep history with independent and heavy music made the city a fitting stop for a lineup spanning several strands of rock.

Russian Circles Chicago reviews
Could have been great... But Spoiled...!
The performance, lights, songs, and overall show were amazing. Instead of allowing fans to interpret the songs freely, Russian Circles inserted images of President Donald J. Trump in a sickening manner. When attending a concert, I expect to be entertained with great music, not subjected to someone's political agenda. Waters calling President Trump a greedy pig is hypocritical, especially considering the high ticket prices. I do not support President Trump, but I would have objected to pro-Trump visuals as well. Shame on Waters for his actions.
